The VSEA Judicial Unit Bargaining Team met on March 13 in Berlin for negotiations with the CAO. First and final bargaining proposals, including all economic proposals, were exchanged on that day. The parties had limited discussions in bargaining before having to break for the day. No major agreements have been reached yet on substantive or economic proposals. The next Bargaining Session is scheduled for April 6. The VSEA Team hopes to have more clarity about the continuation or elimination of furloughs from the Legislature at that time in order to better inform our discussions about the economic impact to the VSEA Membership (a reminder that furlough days fall outside of bargaining, with the Supreme Court having the authority to implement them).
