NEW VSEA MEMBER REPRESENTATIVE NEEDED FOR NON-MANAGEMENT UNIT SICK LEAVE BANK COMMITTEE!
Message from NMU Chair Terry Lefebvre
NMU’s thanks and congratulations go out to Sheila Coniff, who has diligently represented our members on the NMU Sick Leave Bank. Sheila was recently promoted to a supervisory position and is now a member of the VSEA Supervisory Unit. As a result, the position she held on the NMU Sick Leave Bank Committee needs to be filled quickly.
Time available in the sick leave bank is provided by members who donate annual leave, personal leave or compensatory time to the bank. From this "bank" of time, additional sick leave is awarded to members who have serious and often life-threatening health issues. This Labor/Management Committee includes VSEA and DHR representatives. The Committee meets monthly to review and act on applications from members. It is crucial that VSEA have adequate representation on this committee.

Please include information about yourself (i.e. where you work, how long you’ve worked for the State, how long you’ve been a VSEA member) and your reasons for wanting to be on the committee. Members of the NMU Executive Committee will review letters of interest and appoint a member to fill the position.
