VLRB Issues Complaint Against State For Implementing Infants-At-Work Program Without Negotiating With VSEA

VSEA learned late Friday that the Vermont Labor Relations Board (VLRB) has issued a complaint against the State for implementing its well-intentioned infants-at-work program without first negotiating the change in working conditions with VSEA, as is required by law.

The VLRB has scheduled a hearing for August 22 to decide whether or not to issue a formal unfair labor practice (ULP) against the State.

Between now and the hearing, VSEA leaders, members and staff will be meeting to talk about next steps if the VLRB does issue a formal ULP.
