BREAKING! VSEA Arbitration Bill Headed To Governor

The Vermont House just passed out VSEA’s arbitration bill, which had already been passed by the Senate. A GOP-sponsored House amendment to defeat the bill went down on an 87-48 roll-call vote.

The arbitration bill is a VSEA-drafted legislation that seeks to resolve contract-negotiation disputes, using an arbitrator mutually selected by VSEA and the State.

Next stop for the bill is the Governor’s office for signature, and VSEA expects to be asking members and retirees to start messaging Mr. Scott very soon, urging his support.
