VSEA AOT Members’ Action Labeled “Stunt” By Administration

large AOT Stuntment

September 17, 2015

In this morning’s Times Argus, spread across the front page is a headline that has Justin Johnson calling Leavitt Sayers and a handful of other AOT members action this week a "Stunt."

In the story, Johnson blasts VSEA for not letting these AOT workers know that the State would be a no show.

FACT: VSEA was given less than 24 hours notice that the State’s negotiators wanted to review documents instead of attend scheduled bargaining. Maybe Mr. Johnson has the managerial flexibility to tell his boss that "nah, I’ll be coming to work tomorrow, but I know you rearranged the schedule and all and so and so has already agreed to take my shift, etc." No such luck. That’s what upset these men and women the most.

There’s more harsh words for VSEA in the story, but this is one fact members need to ensure the Administration understands.
