VSEA 2010 Scholarship Award Recipient Drops By To Say “Thanks” To VSEA Scholarship Committee!

VSEA member Sead Drljacic dropped by VSEA HQ to personally thank the union’s Scholarships and Awards Committee for his 2010 award.

      It took a year to finally happen, but, on May 16, VSEA 2010 scholarship award recipient and 12-year state employee Sead Drljacic was finally able to stop by VSEA HQ (in his Johnson State College graduation cap and gown) to personally thank the VSEA Scholarships & Awards Committee for awarding him the money to help him earn his degree.
     Drljacic, who emigrated to Vermont from Bosnia in the late 90’s, says he was fortunate to learn about the VSEA scholarship awards while working on winning a grievance he had filed.
     "I won my grievance and I found out about this scholarship opportunity," said Drljacic. "That was good."
     Drljacic works as a Tax Examiner in the Department of Taxes. He recently earned a B.A. with Honors from Johonson State.
