VSEA’s Vermont State Colleges Unit’s bargaining team has reached tentative agreement with the Chancellor’s Office on a one-year extension of the current collective bargaining agreement. If ratified, the extension will be effective on July 1, 2021, and will remain in effect through June 30, 2022. The extension grants all members an approximately 51-cent-per-hour increase to their hourly wage, and there are no changes to employees’ current health care and retirement benefits. Additionally, all tentative agreements reached in late 2019 or early 2020 during pre-pandemic negotiations will also be incorporated into this agreement.
This extension will be out for ratification within weeks, and VSEA VSC Unit members are urged to keep an eye on your email inbox for more information and to vote on the contract.
