Vets’ Home Employee Used By Some To Inflame Debate About Home’s Possible Decertification Did Not Act With Malice

“I received letters from individuals at every level of the professional hierarchy who have worked closely with Mark. … What emerged from these letters is what I found to be an accurate representation of Mark’s personal and professional character as an extraordinary nurse with an almost saintly reputation for grace under pressure, peacefulness, patient expertise and loving care.”

VT House Greenlights Additional Money To Address Heavy DCF & DAIL Caseloads, As Well As More $ For Mental Health

"…the Department for Children and Families would receive a mid-year injection of $10.1 million because of increased caseload. The Department of Mental Health would see an additional $8.3 million and the Department of Disabilities, Aging and Independent Living would receive an additional $3 million, also because of increased caseload."

Story also notes that there is a $5 million-plus savings from the state employees’ health plan. Once again, state employees doing their part!
