Listen to John Howe’s Testimony in Favor of the Whistleblower Protection Bill, H. 863

VSEA leader John Howe was at the State House April 16 to testify to the Senate’s Government Operations Committee about VSEA’s strong support for H. 863; the Whistleblower Protection bill.

After his testimony, the Committee voted 5-0 to move H. 863 out of Committee. This is a huge step in H. 863’s path to becoming law, and VSEA thanks John Howe and all other VSEA members who have been contacting their legislators to support H. 863.

“Today, these workers have no right to have a voice in the determination of their working conditions, career progression or pay, but they are determined to continue their fight to obtain these rights,” said [VSEA Director Mark] Mitchell. “State workers and their union look forward to welcoming these members into the VSEA family and working together towards a respectful first union contract.”
