Union: State Could Have Avoided Protest
VSEA thanks Brattleboro Chapter President Robin Rieske for penning an excellent letter to her local paper, promoting unions and working people.
"Unions are under attack nationally, and here in Vermont the landscape is not much different. So what can you do? Support the unions. Get involved in the ones you are a member of. Support the unions your loved ones or neighbors are in and the ones that fight for fairness and justice for all workers including those not in unions. It has been proven time and time again, that the response to economic inequality is labor unions."

Snubbed By State Negotiators, AOT Members Deliver Bargaining Issues Directly To Shumlin Administration
Left sitting at the bargaining table with no one on the other side, a contingent of VSEA AOT members took matters into their own hands today and marched down to the Pavilion Building to deliver their bargaining issues to the Administration personally. Accepting the workers’ list of issues was Shumlin representative Michael Clausen. After giving their issues to the Administration, the band of AOT workers marched to DHR to deliver their issues to that office as well.
