Every year, the VSEA Awards & Scholarship Committee solicits scholarship applications from VSEA members and their spouses, dependents and domestic partners. The 2017 scholarship applications are now available online, and VSEA students who are seeking financial assistance this year in the pursuit of post-secondary educational goals can download one here.
Deadline For Applications Is May 8, 2017!
One of the giant pitfalls to privatizing state-run services is that Vermont and other states must depend on the private company to install the software necessary to safely secure its online functions. VTDigger reports yesterday that a third-party, private, for-profit vendor called America’s Joblink Alliance–which operates a nationwide web-based database called Joblink- was recently hacked. Vermont is one of 10 states using Joblink.

Members of the Vermont State Employees’ Association (VSEA) Judiciary Unit are celebrating a binding decision by a neutral consultant to raise the wages of Docket Clerks and Court Officers by two pay grades (PG15 to PG17) and also Courtroom Operators by two pay grades (PG16 to PG18).
