We Need Paid Leave

VSEA, alongside 12 other unions, sent a letter to VT lawmakers calling for passage of a strong paid family and medical leave program. Read the letter here.

Our message was clear: No one should have to choose between their paycheck and their health or families during the times that matter most.

A paid leave program will raise standards for all workers – union members and not. Thank you, VT Paid Leave, for advocating with us on this critical labor issue. Let’s organize!

Do you want to get involved with the leadership of your union? One of the best ways to do so is to serve on the VSEA Board of Trustees. District 4 Trustee, Roy Catella announced recently that he is stepping down from his elected Board of Trustees seat. Because there is still more than a year remaining in his current terms, an election is required to fill Roy’s seats.

To be eligible to run for this District Trustee position you must reside in, or have an assigned workstation in the district listed below:

  • District 4 – Franklin/Grand Isle, Chittenden, Addison

If you are interested in running for this VSEA Board of Trustees’ seat there are two ways to do so. Learn more here.
