The one-year anniversary of the tragic killing of DCF Social Worker Lara Sobel is August 7, 2015. The senseless murder is still weighing heavily on many of Lara’s colleagues, and on August 5, DCF workers will gather at the State House to support each other and to remember her. They are inviting all state employees to join them.
The remembrance will feature a small slate of speakers, including members of the clergy, DCF leaders and frontline DCF workers.
All attending the remembrance are asked to please wear purple, which was Lara’s favorite color.
