It’s official. Vail Resorts Inc. Purchases Stowe Ski Resort from AIG. Time To Renegotiate The Mountain Lease

Vail Resorts Inc. has officially purchased the Stowe Ski Resort for $50 million from AIG. With Vermont facing a new budget deficit, and a recent Auditor’s report that found Stowe to be one of several Vermont ski resorts where the owner’s mountain lease is far outdated, VSEA says it’s time for the state to renegotiate this lease to generate potentially millions in new revenue for our state.

Call your lawmakers and the Governor’s office today to demand that this mountain lease be renegotiated with Vail Resorts Inc. The Jay Peak lease should be renegotiated as well, now that the resort is in a state of flux.
