In a VPR story about the State’s desire to implement a new prescription drug program for VSEA retirees (mind you, a subject of bargaining), Secretary of the Administration Jeb Spaulding says "his negotiating team worked hard" to convince VSEA negotiators to accept the switch. However, VSEA negotiators say Spaulding is simply not being truthful. The idea was brought up by Spaulding’s team early in negotiations, but it was dropped pretty quickly. No hard sell whatsoever. The hard sell, came in fact, AFTER a tentative agreement had been reached by both parties. Far too late to be negotiated. Spread the truth VSEA!
