Hello VPCH Chapter Members!

Please be aware that elections will be held at this meeting for the upcoming term of the Chapter’s allotted Council seats, as well as to fill vacancies for Chapter Officer positions for the remainder of the current term.

VSEA will be providing food for members who are able to attend!

The meeting will also be available virtually via Zoom.

Central Vermont Chapter Annual Meeting

Join us at the VSEA Central Vermont Chapter Annual Meeting!

Afterparty the same evening, 6:30 PM-7:30 PM at Pho Capitol in Montpelier, where you are invited to enjoy some Vietnamese food & meet potential new Council Members.

If you are interested  in becoming a Central Vermont Chapter Council Representative, members will vote for nominated individuals at this upcoming Annual Meeting on August 19, 2025.

Agenda:

We will be holding elections for our Council representatives.  If you want to learn more about what is happening in VSEA and become more involved with the Central Vermont Chapter, jump on this opportunity!  You may express interest in advance, or at the meeting. Council Member position description: Council members attend four council meetings per year and vote on important union issues.  Your job is to attend those meetings, represent your members, and to report back to your Chapter.

Old Business
a. Vote on a $1000 donation from the CVC Chapter to  Good Samaritan Haven.  Following is a link to an article in VT Digger describing the work of Good Samaritan Haven.

b. Vote to fund the generation of a CVC banner.
c. Vote to hire an artist to polish art submissions from members whom make the request.

New Business
a. Hold the election for 4 council member seats.

A $50 raffle prize will be awarded to 1 active CVC member per 5 attendees, maximum 5 winners

The next five VSEA members who submit inspirational art which becomes adopted by vote into the CVC Art Portfolio will receive a $50 prize, and your art might be placed onto flashy things!

The CVC chapter has voted to reimburse lodging in a room at Jay Peak for the 1st five active CVC members whom attend the 2025 VSEA Annual Meeting & make the request, family welcome.

Franklin/Grand Isle Chapter Annual Meeting

If you live or work in Franklin or Grand Isle Counties, you can be a participating member of the Franklin / Grand Isle chapter.

Please join your chapter to receive union updates with VSEA organizers and activist, discuss work site and local issues, decide if you want a leadership role inside YOUR union and form connections within State worksites.

Agenda:

  • Chapter Officer election (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Clerk).
  • 4 Chapter Council seats are also up for reelection.

If you are interested in self nominating and cannot attend, please write a letter of interest. You may forward your letter of interest to the current chapter president janine.cary@vermont.gov.

Food and beverages will be provided for this meeting.

Family members welcome to attend, but cannot participate in discussion or voting.

Northern State Correctional Facility

New VSEA organizer, Josh Wronski, will be at Northern State Correctional Facility, to meet DOC employees.

This visit will be conducted with the intent to give you the opportunity to receive ongoing support from VSEA staff on any workplace issues you may be facing, and ask any questions you may have about your union’s ongoing efforts.

Stop in anytime to meet me and enjoy pizza and coffee!
