"The launching of this program makes an assumption that every state employee needs to be watched every minute of every day while at work because they’re doing something wrong," Illuzzi said Wednesday. "To implement a program of this nature suggests that they’re violating employee policies and that they should basically not be trusted."
Note: Turns out the State didn’t tell lawmakers about this software’s ability to record and produce detailed reports about any employee’s web usage.
“The State apparently never mentioned the extent of the software’s capabilities—or the level of monitoring that it intended to impose on employees—to the legislature when it requested money for the purchase during the budget adjustment process.”
