"The legislation has certainly fallen short of its goal. Of the $38 million in Challenges savings originally budgeted for fiscal year 2011, according to Finance Commissioner Jim Reardon , he has to date secured only $14 million."
Uh Oh….
“It was a big disappointment and a failure,” said Sen. Vince Illuzzi.
Message From Waterbury Chapter President Tracey Tapley:
"We were sorry to learn that the Vermont Frost Heaves have announced that the franchise is being forced to fold immediately due to financial issues. To the Frost Heaves credit, because VSEA was in the process of organizing a union event with the Heaves, we were contacted personally about the decision, prior to the public announcement.
The VSEA Waterbury Chapter was sponsoring this event and is sorry to report that, needless to say, there is no event now. Thanks to all the VSEA members who had shown interest.
Please contact me with any ideas you might have about events to bring VSEA members and our families together!
"Vermont’s wealthiest taxpayers will save $190 million this year, thanks to Congress’s decision last month to extend the Bush tax cuts."
