At an August 5 Town Hall Meeting with the Governor in Bennington, the American Legion’s John Minor rose to ask the Governor about the future of the beleaguered Vermont Veterans’ Home. Hear the Governor’s full answer and note that he is making his comments with full knowledge of what is contained in a consultant’s report on the Home, which is due to be officially released on August 8.

VSEA members were instrumental in convincing the Vermont Legislature to institute a reward-based program for employee-generated cost-savings ideas that lead to actual savings. Unfortunately, the program sunsetted in 2012 and is no longer in effect. VSEA members are hopeful the program will be resurrected, as new employee ideas certainly didn’t sunset in 2012.
