VSEA was honored to receive a Solidarity Award from the Vermont Workers’ Center at the group’s annual dinner celebration on Saturday night in Burlington. VSEA members were recognized for voting to change the union’s emphasis to organizing and for the union’s defense of whistleblowers and support of health care for all.

Great outpouring of VSEA support today across Vermont for striking FairPoint workers. Some VSEA Central Vermont Stewards got together on Friday night to present special certificates of merit to VSEA members for "outstanding union activism throughout 2014." Receiving certificates were: Jack Gouin (Agency of Transportation), James Hale (Buildings & General Services), Jodi Parker (Vermont State Housing Authority) and all VSEA VSHA Members (Vermont State Housing Authority). Congratulations to all those honored!
