VSEA Brattleboro Chapter President Robin Rieske participated in one of two press conferences being held statewide by the coalition Vermonters for Criminal Justice Reform. The group, which is led by Rep. Suzy Wizowaty (pictured here, left, with Robin), is campaigning to return Vermont offenders back to the state and out of the private, for-profit, out-of-state prisons.
VSEA Legislative Committee Chair Dr. Leslie Matthews joined this morning with the representatives of 15 additional organizations for a press conference to reiterate the groups’ strong support for Vermont to continue forward towards a single-payer health care system.
Something else to give thanks for this year…the State is listening to VSEA members and working to reduce the number of temps working in state government.
