With Vermont facing a $100 million budget deficit, and a Governor opposed to any kind of new revenue generation, Vermont State Employees’ Association (VSEA) members recently sat down to begin videotaping messages about the adverse impact of past public service and state employee job cuts. VSEA members also talk about what employees have been doing to help Vermont solve its continuous budget deficits, and they appeal to the Governor and lawmakers to explore other options besides cuts, such as generating new revenue.
VSEA is asking anyone viewing this video to please share the link with your family, friends and other supporters of Vermont state employees and the quality services they provide. Thank you in advance for your help.
Very powerful letter to the editor in the Bennington Banner. It speaks for a lot of frontline workers and Vermonters who genuinely care about the Vermont Veterans Home, and, more important, Vermont veterans.
