In what can only be viewed as a giant step backwards to achieving Vermont’s alleged goal to return all Vermont inmates currently housed in out-of-state, private, for-profit prisons back to Vermont, VTDigger reports that the Vermont DOC has just inked a new deal with Pennsylvania that will reward the Keystone State and its taxpayers handsomely–to the tune of $7.1 million a year.
