In advance of Public Service Recognition Week 2024 (May 5 – May 12), VSEA’s Communications Department is inviting members to submit the names of colleagues who are deserving of special recognition for always going above and beyond to provide quality service to the Vermonters they serve. We’ll be choosing some of your nominations to feature during PSRW 2024.
Let the Communications Department know who you want to nominate for special recognition and tell us a little bit about why you are submitting their name for consideration.
Thanks in advance for your nominations. The nominating period will conclude at the end of March 2024.
Don’t forget to join us Tuesday, February 6 at 6:00 p.m., for our next Legislative Dinner! We will be meeting in person at VSEA HQ in Montpelier and online, via Zoom. The conversation topic will be Vermont State University. Zoom information can be found here. VSEA.org login required.
Come for the delicious, catered dinner and stay for the informal, important conversation with key Vermont lawmakers on the issues affecting you on the job. This dinner is a great chance to make your voice heard. We hope you’ll join us!
VSEA’s ongoing series of legislative dinners continues in February, so save these dates!
VSEA, alongside 12 other unions, sent a letter to VT lawmakers calling for passage of a strong paid family and medical leave program. Read the letter here.
Our message was clear: No one should have to choose between their paycheck and their health or families during the times that matter most.
A paid leave program will raise standards for all workers – union members and not. Thank you, VT Paid Leave, for advocating with us on this critical labor issue. Let’s organize!
Do you want to get involved with the leadership of your union? One of the best ways to do so is to serve on the VSEA Board of Trustees. District 4 Trustee, Roy Catella announced recently that he is stepping down from his elected Board of Trustees seat. Because there is still more than a year remaining in his current terms, an election is required to fill Roy’s seats.
To be eligible to run for this District Trustee position you must reside in, or have an assigned workstation in the district listed below:
District 4 – Franklin/Grand Isle, Chittenden, Addison
