Thank You For Your Generosity VSEA Members & Retirees!

Huge thanks to all the VSEA Chapters that participated in the VSEA Board of Trustees’ recent challenge to see which Chapter could raise the most amount of money for the Vermont Foodbank before January 1, 2021.

Congratulations to the VSEA Chittenden Chapter for raising the most money for the Foodbank.

Here are the totals for all the Chapters where donations were made:

Chittenden Chapter – $1,511

Vermont Psychiatric Care Hospital Chapter – $1,031

Waterbury Chapter – $833

Springfield Chapter – $631

Retirees’ Chapter – $600

NEK/ St. Johnsbury Chapter – $261

Barre Chapter – $202

Rutland Chapter – $ 173

Central Vermont Chapter – $108

Brattleboro Chapter – $104

The total amount of money VSEA donated to the Fodbank was $11,904! This includes the Chapter donations and an additional $3,200 donation from VSEA ($200 x 16 Chapters), which was matched by the Foodbank, bringing the donation to $6,400!

Great job VSEA! Thank you again for your generosity during this especially difficult time for so many Vermonters.

Did you know that foodbanks are able to purchase more food per dollar than the average consumer? That means a drive for dollars raises more food than a conventional food drive.
