Throughout this legislative session, VSEA’s Legislative Department will be providing a schedule of committee meetings of interest to VSEA members and retirees. Due to the pandemic, meetings are all done by Zoom.
Here is this week’s VSEA meeting-of-interest schedule.
Link to find any legislative committee’s live stream page.
Note: Sometimes a meeting will start late, or won’t stream live for one reason or another, but visit the committee’s page a few hours afterward to see if the meeting you were interested in has now posted for viewing.
VSEA launched a new Facebook group this afternoon for members-in-good-standing to join to see the latest posts from VSEA members statewide and VSEA headquarters on the issue of the state employee pension plan and the Treasurer’s proposed plan. It’s a hub for eligible VSEA members and retirees to go to learn what’s going on or to share what you know–and how you feel–about any and all developments.
The page is now live and VSEA members and retirees in good standing are invited to join today. Join on Facebook here!
Monday’s Vermont Edition on VPR featured a discussion about state employee and teacher pension funds. VSEA President Aimee Towne appears as a guest 14 minutes into the program. Thanks to the members and retirees who phoned into the show.
