VSEA Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees

Hello VSEA Members:

The Clerk will call a special meeting of the Board of Trustees as discussed in this email thread for Saturday, August 29, at 4:30PM. It will be virtual. 

Agenda is as follows:
VSEA’s responsibility and role when members face credible workplace-safety concerns or threats.
The respective responsibilities of VSEA professional staff and elected bargaining-unit leadership in responding to an urgent safety matter.
Confirmation of the actions VSEA has taken with the Administration regarding this specific situation and what continuing follow-up will occur.
Assurance that NMU members will receive the same level of professional representation, advocacy, communication, and urgency afforded to members of every VSEA bargaining unit.
Review of the response provided to Bob Stone and whether directing an elected Unit Chair back to the Administration under these circumstances is consistent with the standard of representation the Board expects VSEA to provide.
