VSEA Lamoille Valley Chapter: Annual Meeting!
A reminder to join VSEA members from across Lamoille County for our Chapter Annual meeting. At this meeting, the Chapter will be holding an election for all of the officer positions.
This is a great opportunity to get involved in your union! If you are interested in running for a Chapter officer, please take a look at the descriptions of Chapter positions below.

Description of Chapter Officer Positions:
President: Chapter Presidents are responsible for organizing at least four-chapter meetings a year, including an annual meeting where elections are held. You must run those meetings in accordance with Roberts Rules of Order, make sure your chapter follows your bylaws, and help recruit new members in your chapter. You will not be alone! Other members of your chapter will help, and you will have a staff organizer assigned to assist you! Chapter Presidents are also VSEA Council members.
Vice President: Takes over for the president if they step down or are absent from a meeting.
Clerk: Take notes at each meeting, makes sure those notes are sent to HQ to be posted online for all members of your chapter. Bring those notes to the next chapter meeting for formal approval.
Treasurer: Each chapter is given funds to spend on their members. The treasurer’s job is to keep track of those funds, spend them when approved, and to give a treasurer’s report to members at each chapter meetings.
Council Member: Council members attend four council meetings per year and vote on important union issues. Your job is to attend those meetings, represent your members, and to report back to your chapter. Learn more about VSEA Council here.
Once we have Officers; based on interest, Chapter Board of Directors: (Chapter Officers & and five Chapter members.) Elections for those positions can occur in accordance with Chapter by-laws.
