VSEA emailed members recently about four VSEA Board of Trustees’ seats that are currently up for election. They are:
- Supervisory Unit Trustee: A three-year seat that represents VSEA members in the Supervisory bargaining unit;
- Corrections Unit Trustee: A three-year seat that represents VSEA members in the Corrections bargaining unit;
- Vermont State Housing Authority, Defender General, and State’s Attorney’s Office Units Trustee: A three-year seat that represents VSEA members in the Vermont State Housing Authority, the Defender General, and the State’s Attorney’s Office bargaining units; and
- District 4: A three-year seat that represents VSEA members in Franklin County, Grand Isle County, Chittenden County, and Addison County.
To be eligible to run for one of the Unit Trustee positions listed above you must be a member of that bargaining unit. To be eligible to run for the District 4 Trustee position you must reside in, or have an assigned workstation in Franklin County, Grand Isle County, Chittenden County, or Addison County.
If you are interested in running for a VSEA Board of Trustees’ seat there are two ways to do so:
- Submit a paper petition with at least 25 signatures to VSEA HQ. View/download the PDF petition here; or
- Submit electronically: It’s a two-step process that begins with you filling out this self-nomination online form followed by you soliciting at least 25 members to complete this online petition, providing your name, their name, and their EE numbers.
The deadline to file your petition is 4:30 PM on Thursday, June 1, 2023.
