Vermont State Employees’ Association Unit Chairs Unanimously Agree To Send Cost-Savings Proposal To Governor To Help Address Vermont’s Budget Deficit
Today, Vermont State Employees’ Association (VSEA) Bargaining Unit Chairs, representing employees in Units that would be affected by the State’s proposed job cuts, voted unanimously to approach the Douglas Administration with a proposal that will provide a substantial cost savings to the State. Union officials are optimistic the proposal will prevent further job cuts and preserve public services.
VSEA will release details of the proposal on Monday.
