VSEA Again Urging Members/Retirees To Attend 10/8 Retirement Commission Mtng.

This Commission is stacked with individuals who do not value the work of state employees and are seeking ways to tamper with your retirement and health benefit plans. Also, there is ZERO representation of state employees and teachers. In other words; it’s a sham!!!!!
Dear VSEA Members and Retirees,

The Retirement Commission will hold its next meeting on Thursday October 8 from1 p.m. -5 p.m. at the State House in Room 11 (It was in Room 10, but they moved it). The Commission will provide the Administration and the Legislature with recommendations on how to save money on the state employees’ and teachers’ retirement and healthcare benefits.

This Commission is stacked with individuals who do not value the work of state employees and are seeking ways to tamper with your retirement and health benefit plans. Also, there is ZERO representation of state employees and teachers. In other words; it’s a sham!!!!!

We need you to take action! We need to pack the room to send a message – loud and clear – that we denounce the composition of the commission and that we are watching their actions.

Wear your VSEA t-shirts, hats and be sure to get a button from a VSEA staff member when you arrive at the State House.  Urge your co-workers, fellow retirees, family members and friends to attend with you.

If you’re willing to attend, please let me know ASAP by emailing rmaguire@vsea.org.

Thank you,
Robyn Maguire
