We, the undersigned, urge the Vermont Judiciary to honor their employees’ legal right to negotiate over pay and benefits in a timely manner, before the Vermont State Court Administrative Officer requests funding from the General Assembly. At a time when the Judicial Branch is under constant pressure to do more with less funding, it is vital that the union and management collaborate to address how to continue to provide quality services. It is our hope that both parties can bargain with the intention of reaching an agreement, as early as possible, so that the Judiciary will be able to submit a budget request that reflects its true needs.
