"It is requiring further reductions in fiscal year ’11 and fiscal year ’12 which … the committee thinks is a separate negotiation," [Rep.] Obuchowski said. "They are trying to leverage the action of the Joint Fiscal Committee into the two-year negotiations."
“I don’t think [an answer to the sustainability question] is necessary,” [Sen.] Bartlett said. “Demanding that they be connected just continues the tremendous unease in the state work force. You are supposed to solve the problem, not create more.”
