DESCRIPTION:Hello VSEA Members!\nPlease join your colleagues in the Waterbury Chapter for the Chapter Annual meeting on September 3rd, 2026, in-person AND via ZOOM 12-1:00.\nThe Meeting will be held at the Department of Public Safety Building in the Lab Classroom. 45 State Drive, main entrance by flagpoles. Check in at Front Desk.\nAt this meeting, new leaders will be elected and decisions about the upcoming year will be discussed.\nCome for the good conversation- come for what portion of the time works in your lunch. Come to support your Chapter and your Chapter leaders!\nAlso consider this opportunity to step up to help the Chapter in the next year.\nShare some updates from your worksite with your co-workers! Or just come for the community and bring ideas for the next year.\nWe will hold ELECTIONS!  \nNominations will be accepted during the meeting.\n\nAgenda\n\nCall to order\nPresident’s / Treasurer’s report\nDiscuss VSEA Day in the Parks\nDiscuss Blood Drive suggestion\nProvide information around elections for each of the Chapter Leader roles (see descriptions below):\n\nPresident, Vice President, Clerk, and Treasurer\n\n\nVSEA News and updates\nUpcoming VSEA Annual Meeting Sept 19- Stratton Mtn\n\n \nDescription of roles:\n\nPresident: Chapter presidents are responsible for organizing chapter meetings in accordance with their chapter’s bylaws. You must run those meetings in accordance with Roberts Rules of Order, make sure your Chapter follows all other bylaws, and help recruit state employees in your Chapter to become union members. You will not be alone! Other members of your chapter will help, and you will have a staff organizer assigned to assist you! Chapter Presidents are all also VSEA Council members.\nVice President: Takes over for the president if they step down or are absent from a meeting.\nClerk: Takes notes at each meeting, brings a typed copy of those notes to the next meeting for review, and ensures their notes are submitted to the VSEA Communications Department.\nTreasurer: Each Chapter is given funds to spend on their members.
